About
Alan Coughlan started his career in banking and finance as a teller in regional Victoria more than three decades ago. Since then, he’s seen how money moves from every angle, a perspective that informs his work today.
He has spent years building rapport and trust with clients from all walks of life. More recently, he has specialised in medical lending at Investec, BOQ Specialist and now Avant Financial Services. This experience means he understands the world doctors live in and the need for him to be always accessible.
At Investec and BOQ Specialist, Alan was a significant contributor to the Queensland Residential team and was formerly recognised in last five years by becoming the State Residential Manager leading a team of 18 people. Alan is also experienced in commercial lending, and at Avant, he is back working firsthand with clients to help them achieve their goals.
He’s been married for close to three decades and has two adult children. As well as spending time with the family, Alan is a regular golfer and a keen fan of the Brisbane Lions.
